Hello, blog! Long time, no see.
Well, I’m back from winter break and getting back in the swing of things. It was nice to not be online so much at home and spend time with my family. But here we are again, and I’m excited for this year. It’s gonna be a good one.
So I’ve been thinking, and I have three main goals related to writing for this year. They’re not super fancy, but I want to spend more time on all three. I’ll tell you what they are.
I’m going to query the novel I wrote. And I’m going to query a lot until I have a positive result.
I’ve already started my next novel, and I got up to 20k words over break. I’m going to finish that novel and then start on the next one.
I’m going to read more books. I love reading, and there’s tons of good-looking books coming out this year as well as lots of popular books I still haven’t read, so I’m going to read some of those.
And with this, I have a question…I know some people like to keep track of how many books they read in a year. I’m totally going to do that this year. But am I allowed to count books I re-read, or do I only count books I read for the first time? Part of me says I can count both, but part of me says new books only.
What’s your opinion??
